Vote for change in Crosby County

I have been in law enforcement for just over 23 years. My career started in the United States Air Force where I served as a Security Forces member (Base Police). There I served as a patrolman and went on to run the 27th Fighter Wings restricted area badge program. Upon leaving the USAF, I joined the Lubbock Police Department , retiring in July of 2020 having been a Sergeant for the last eight years. There I was assigned to Patrol, Worked in Recruiting, Managed the Property Room, and lead the LPD's Honor Guard. Upon retiring from Lubbock, I spent the next year running my own handyman and remodeling business. In August of 2021 my family and I moved from Lubbock to Crosby County to get away from the city and enjoy the small town feel that Crosby County offered. In October of 2021 I was hired as the Chief of Police for the City of Crosbyton where I worked full time until being appointed as the Chief of Police for the Lubbock International Airport Police Department where I am still currently employed. 

If you chose to place your trust me as the next Sheriff of Crosby County, you will find that I am a servant of the People. I will work diligently to earn your trust and restore your faith in local law enforcement. I realize that a Sheriff should be accessible to the citizens of Crosby County. Accountability starts at the top! We are blessed to have hard working deputies who need proven  support and leadership to help them succeed at their job.  I believe that an effective leader would empower our deputies to be the professional Peace Officers they strive to be and that you, the citizens of Crosby County, deserve. Since being appointed as Chief of Police for the Lubbock Airport Police Department, we have modernized our equipment and invested heavily in multiple areas of professional development that has created a more confident and capable police department. Working as a team we "rebranded" the department and empowered our officers to boldly confront the challenges that modern airports face when tasked with security and law enforcement. 

Crosby County is facing challenging times, but also times  of opportunity. I have a vision of a prosperous and safe county where all of its residence have the opportunity to live their best life. My family and I moved here to do just that very thing. I have been blessed over the years with my experiences as a peace officer. I believe that as Sheriff I will be able to work with our communities and not as an outside entity. I believe in the old law enforcement principal the the police are the public and the public are the police. For effective change to come ,the next Crosby County Sheriff must be a person who will work tirelessly to meet the needs of the people, to look for new methods to solve problems, and always have the best interest of the citizenry at the forefront. I believe that we will have a choice to make. We can either do what we have been doing and witness further decline or be brave and innovative in our approach to issues that face our county.
